Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the warm and friendly atmosphere, often highlighting the cheerful staff who ensure a pleasant greeting every time. The standout highlight is undoubtedly the coffee, with many praising the rich flavors of the flat white and the deliciousness of the matcha tea. Value for money is another recurring theme, with hearty breakfasts available for just a fiver. The homemade cakes, especially the chocolate fudge and Victoria sponge, have their own fan club, making it tough to resist indulging. The cozy setting encourages a sense of community, gathering locals to share a laugh or focus on their work while sipping expertly crafted brews.

Most Disliked

A few customers have noted a desire for Perky Grinders to sell ground coffee, pointing out that the shop’s name suggests potential for roasting or retailing beans. Some have expressed concern over busyness during peak times, particularly on Saturdays when the café hits full capacity. The lunchtime rush sometimes leads to a longer wait for food, particularly on weekends. Additionally, while the menu has diverse vegetarian options, some patrons hope to see more gluten-free dishes added to the lineup. However, the overall response remains overwhelmingly positive, making these points minor inconveniences in the grand scheme.

Absolutely lovely gem of a place. Breakfast for a fiver and a brew for two quid. Great value for money. Just goes to show it can be done. We had a lovely warm welcome and all the staff were happy and jolly and grateful to their customers. Keep it up you guys, this is what the public want 👍

Nice cafe. Good prices, friendly service. Only suggestion I would make is to sell ground coffee: Perky Grinders makes it sound like you'd be a roasters/coffee sales alongside cafe service. I will be back because your Veggie breakfast includes Halloumi and looks like a very decent option!

Perky grinders, Lovely welcoming, smiles by all staff, food was lovely. Even the chef wasn't happy with how my egg came out so she made me another. 🥰 Lovely vibes all round. Definitely coming here again.

Went in today for the first time. I had a large breakfast and a black coffee. It was beautifully cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the first full English I've had since my beloved wife passed away last year. The place is clean, comfortable warm and friendly. Highly recommended and ill be back!
